Capturing fleeting moments

For my 10th birthday, my grandparents gave me an Agfamatic pocket camera, and they took me along on a crossing of the Great Aletsch Glacier. That is when both photography and ice cast their spell on me …

The fragile polar landscapes, shaped by the elements, have a very distinct magic. Trying to capture it with my camera is my passion. In my view, photography is also an ideal medium to stress the urge of protecting nature.

Authenticity is key to me: I value a faithful representation of the original scene. While editing my photos, I perform general adjustments only. I see myself as someone documenting – with a special eye for tiny but mighty moments.
